Spring Teams Season

Mid-March Through June (15 Weeks)

Purpose

  • Players move into their new age groups and the levels they are aspiring to for the following fall club season (for example: second-year 8Us move to full ice 10U, second-year 12Us move to checking at 14U, etc.).
  • Players must be invited or apply/try out and be selected by our professional coaching staff.
  • This program prepares players and teams for the upcoming fall season while allowing players to build relationships with coaches prior to tryouts.
  • The program consists of weekly practices, scrimmage games, and off-ice team sessions.
  • The goal is to prepare Surf prospective players and teams for the 2026–27 season while providing ambitious and motivated players the opportunity to showcase their skills in meaningful game action against like-ability competition. Players receive direct feedback from club head coaches to ensure they are prepared for fall tryouts beginning in early June. This program also provides open communication with coaches so families understand development goals and expectations moving forward.
